Here at The Name Spot our goal is to have every Little One ready to spell their name way before Pre-k. Sharnetta is the Author and CEO of The Name Spot. She is a mother of 3, ages ranging from toddler to young adult. Sharnetta 's very first book "I Can Spell My Name" is inspired by the song she created to teach 2 of her children how to spell their name at a very early age. She has been sitting on this name song for over 12 years. During the pandemic she decided it was time to share this song with the world. She wanted every child to learn to spell their name in a very simple and easy way. Instead of just sharing the name spelling song she decided to create a story and write a book to go along with it. This way your little one has something to read, interact, and refer back too.
When Sharnetta isn't thinking of creative ways to help children spell their name or running the The Name Spot business she is enjoying quality time with her family, reading, and running her Real Estate business.
Countless times Sharnetta has shared this song with family and friends to help with their name spelling journey. Her greatest reward is watching the excitement on children's face after spelling their name! She enjoyed the process of self publishing I Can Spell My Name. She intends to write more children's books and inspire other independent authors to take their story from idea to self published!
